Footwerk is back with a visual for 'Monsters'. A long-time coming collab with Atlantic recording artist Noochie (whose latest project 'New Regular' features Rich Homie Quan and Jazzy Pha). The luscious guitar heavy soundscape is provided by 88Wess whose producer tag "Supersonics" drops on tracks with French Montana, T.I., T-Pain and more..
The track 'Monsters' finds Footwerk's lead vocalist Kyle, on the therapist's couch, self-diagnosing his issues with substance abuse, sex addiction & monetary ambition. These problems manifest themselves physically as real monsters only visible to Kyle, in the Joel Mulbah directed visual. Noochie hijacks the song with a brilliant cadence while doubling down on the song's theme and articulating the dilemmas that come with his success in the music industry. The track and visual exemplifies accomplished artists from different backgrounds coming together to find conceptual creative common ground.
Footwerk, vocally led by 'friend-zoned' power couple, Melissa and Kyle, in perfect harmony with the imperfect human experience. The duo has created oneness at the crossroads of where a soul sister from Uptown DC meets a grime rapper from London, England; and then together, leaving it all behind. Finding unity fusing their favorite pop music elements in the studio, using an indie grind formula and backing it up with high energy live performances. Dubbing their sound 'Indie Pop', calling shows 'One Night Stands' and having 'No Strings Attached' relationships with fans has pushed the Footwerk culture forward. Their debut 'Casual Encounters' openly experimented with multiple genres, giving the feel of an awesome compilation mixtape-playlist. The next offering 'Retrograde', sonically moved the duo in a genre-bending direction, seeking cohesiveness blending a myriad of dynamic song-crafting. The action packed visuals give depth to the music and the material can be found everywhere online!
